Nora Mattingly Interiors, LLC is a boutique design and consulting firm specializing in interior design and decoration, as well as furniture and object design. Based in Providence, RI, we work in collaboration with a wide range of esteemed artisans and architects.
Nora Mattingly received her MS in Interior Design from Pratt Institute. In 2012, Mattingly co-founded Assembly Design with designer Pete Oyler. With a focus on furniture and objects, Assembly received international acclaim for its high quality and forward-thinking work. Assembly was awarded the Metropolis “Likes Award for Innovative Design”, Sight Unseen’s “American Design Hot List”, and New City’s “Design 50: Who Shapes Chicago" and the studio's work was published in the New York Times T Magazine, Elle Décor Italia, Dwell The Financial Times, Wallpaper, Interior Design Magazine, and Modern Painters. In 2019, Mattingly and Oyler shuttered Assembly to pursue other creative interests.
Prior to launching Nora Mattingly Interiors, LLC, Mattingly served as Director of Interior Design at the award-winning NYC architecture firm, D’Apostrophe Design, and as Director of Design at Leslie Jones & Associates, Inc., an award-winning design firm in Chicago with a focus on high end residential interiors.
